Thank you for your response and for clarifying your worthy purpose of writing the article. Educating people about the privacy risks of using everyday technologies is an important cause, something you’ve done well in this article. Privacy is a complex topic. People can accept the privacy risks of using main-stream services. But they can still choose to avoid possibly waving our Fourth Amendment rights by using a government tracking app. This behavior is still rational if informed. My response intended to highlight the difference between sharing data with corporations and governments, as this was not clear. Hopefully, more people will vocalize their expectations for privacy by design, regardless of the data recipient, as more articles shed light on this issue.
